I remember my first “business venture” very clearly, I used to knock on people’s doors when I was 12 and ask them if they wanted their car cleaned. I charged £2 a car, and I thought I was the bee’s knees.
Cleaning cars isn’t usually a precursor to running a web design company, but the door to door sales experience did serve me well in my early direct sales career. And it was the hatred that built up over years of outbound sales that led me to finding the easier route of generating leads via inbound marketing.
And here we are today.
